I just can't figure out how you people keep these cars on the road...and for what reason? Back in the 70's they were really hard to get parts for, especially when the B210 came in. I graduated from the 1200 to a 1976 Mercury Capri II......now there was a hotrod.....oh...but lest i forget the speed limit was only 55 mph on the freeway.

I said that "I" liked the TR6. Even the most rabid TR fans won't say its the most reliable car. That's not the freaking issue. It's a collectible because people want it. It's a desireable vehicle due to styling and character. It was marketed as a sports car, not an economical box with 155SR12 tires....lol...i got bigger tires than that on my flipping lawn mower.

This review was actually written by someone who owns one of theese crap heaps.

I suggest you attend to the problems in your own back yard before running down the datto.

UK Insurance Quote for a Triumph TR6
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuel Injectors clog up periodically causing the engine to misfire, necessitating removal of brackets which, if the appropriate tools are not to hand, can be very frustrating.

Engine runs rich, increasing petrol consumption and requiring mixture adjustment at regular intervals.

Various electrical faults - not uncommon on early seventies BL car
General comments?
The car was purchased fully restored in 2001. An excellent and unusual metallic dark blue turns plenty of heads, as does the pale blue leather interior. I had forgotten just how idiosyncratic old sports cars can be. Nothing is easy to get at and the non inertia reel seat belts require proficiency in calisthenics!

The angle of the glove box makes it impossible to open it without safe -breaking skills.

Water ingress into the driver's foot -well is an inevitable consequence of heavy rain as the water flows back towards the windscreen with the forward motion of the car.
