Hi all, I am currently restoring a 2 door sedan which was never imported to Australia.
I am having problems getting a set of rear 1/4 window seals as no one hear has ever made them, I have tried new genuine items but they are NLA.
All the other seals are available except these ones, I spoke to a company hear about them and he said send me 3 grand and I will make them for you .
Can anyone help me ??
Cheers Ade

Thanks mate, the company was in Sydney and they make (I think) all if not most aftermarket seals for likes of rare spares.
The bloke was an arrogant prick, I am hoping that a company O.S has made them for there local market.
I'll have to wait and see
Cheers Ade

Australian Compliance plate, is the best way to track whether it went through normal import methods.

If it's a private import, it won't have a Australian Compliance plate. These days, compliancers need to fit a "Low-Volume Import" Compliance plate.

I think it's safe to say that Nissan/Datsun didn't import them. As with the US where we didn't get 4-dr sedans but did get the 2-drs.

Compliancers exist in the US too, for example one has certified a single year of Skyline. Private imports are practically non-existant except for the the odd consular car or vehicle brought in by military personnel. That doesn't add up to much.

Hi Guys, with the 2 door sedan in all my years I have seen three in Oz and and friend of mine has 1 in Adelaide.
The car i bought was apparently imported by the Indian army ( believe it or not) and it did have the biggest mongrel towbar I have ever seen. It was very basic spec, 1 sunvisor no heater no cigy lighter and the basic blue vynal mats.
It did have a plate of info but being an early model about 72 is it a compliance plate or a factory plate I don't know can anyone give me idea's
When I was a kid my dad worked for Datsun dealer and I can only ever remember seeing ute's, coupes,4D sedans and 4D wagon's.

The Branco bros could be able to help - all they seem to have in Portugal is the 2 dr so may have rubbers available new. I know of another 2 dr here in Sydney so we're up to 5 at least.
