I am currently restoring a 1971 dato ute. Does anybody out there have any ideas as to what type of seats can be easily installed which give more leg room. I currently have seats from an old Ford Laser but these are to big and become uncomfortable when hooning around. Has anyone tried fitting Recaro racing seats??

cheers,

Daz

yeah i got kb laser seats, they sit you higher dont they. get the stockies retrimmed if you have them (i still have mine waiting for either $$ or soeone to buy my ute) or cobra and aerotech make a slimbacked fixed bucket that would fit nice (need rails and possibly engeniers certificate for LEGAL fitting (Vicroads hassled me about laser seats on stock rails unmodded). Those seats cost approx 5-600 each AUS$$$. I can live with laser seats myself, they are beeter than the stockies.
