hi long time listener first time caller.... i have a 120y full rebuild with 2 1/4 inch pipe, headers, yada yada... my question is this if the stock carb on the old girl was to have a jet kit put in (if possible?) which would be better the 32/36 or something that i am used to with more juice flowing through?

Sure you can "jet" the stock Hitachi carb ... it will help a little to fatten up the air/fuel ratio. However, this carb is purposely on the small side for fuel economy and smooth throttle response.

For performance (if you rev over 4,000 rpm regularly ...) use a 32/36 or another carb that you are familiar with. See the article referred to above for more info and ideas.

Discussion continued in 32/36 or a bigger jetkit?.

um, really cheap cause eveyone keeps telling me

"oh, there crap we just chuck em out when we get em"

"oh SU's, theyre crap"

and such

ive got SU's on my car now and they are good, i also forked out for air cleaners but the carbs came free with the GX head
