32/36 or a bigger jetkit?

I know that with my bike when i had a jet kit put in it made a hell of a difference, so is it worth me buying a 32/36 or f*ck around with the jets. the old girls breathing alright (headers, 2 1/4in pipe, filter) so does anyone have experiance with both?

i have a 32/36 with a 2 inch system, i am asuming that you have a hitachi standard 20/26mm?

i tried changing the jets on my hitachi and didnt make much difference, i think the 20/26mm is more of a ecnomy carbie, i couldnt seem to get much perfomance down low out of it. putting bigger jets in is just going to make the hitachi run much richer with out much power increase, if you more power increase probaly best to increase your carbie size

the weber has given alot more power down lower and is still giving me good fuel economy

i would say go and get a 32/36 or maybe a sidedraught

What I can tell you is that with a weber, there is no longer that flattish spot at around 4,500rpm... Keeps on getting power after that.
I like it.

Both the stock Hitachi 306 and the Weber 32/36 are "mechanical secondary" carbs.

Sure you can "jet" the stock Hitachi carb ... it will help a little to fatten up the air/fuel ratio. Especially as you've modified the exhaust system so much, it will make some difference. However, this carb is purposely on the small side for fuel economy and smooth throttle response.

For performance (if you rev over 4,000 rpm regularly ...) use a 32/36 or another carb that you are familiar with. For more info and ideas, See the Tech Section article Weber 32/36 Carburetor.

I have a 32/36 on my a12 and it is sweet alot more torque as well as fuel economy and they are an easy carbie to work on

i changed my jets on my 32/36 today i am running 135 primary and i upgradeed my secondary to a 150

i got abit more go now i will probaly take my primary to a 140 to get abit more down low
