that 'black bead' is just some rubber edging. You should be able to get it from any rubber supplier. I have the same stuff behind my flares. still haven't got around to doing the rear flares yet.
Aren't these flares in the pic that tens_and_twenties posted the same as Andrew's (ca18det man) and Peter's (MYB110) ?

Thats right L18-B110 they do look very simaller to mine only differnce being mine are riveted straight to the body without the little rubber strip. I had to file fit them.
I got mine from JTS in sydney years ago for around $160 the set I have a spare set but most are damaged a bit from being on the front bouncing off ripple strips aint good for them. cheers Andrew
