Peter Brocks "Energy Polariser" was a wonderful box of green gel. It was supposed to realign all the molecules in a vehicle to increase it's efficiency and aid in handling. As had been said Brock had really lost the plot at this time and it was a low point in his career. He relied on a "Doctor" to make all his decisions including racing and business and was pivotal in Larry Perkins leaving HDT and going it on his own ( with a few more key HDT personal). Larry once said it was a shame the box was'nt filled with real green jelly for then at least you could eat it !! As can be expected, HDT improved cars featuring this "wonderful device" fetch a premium with Holden fans as many were discarded by embarrassed owners. Brock was on thin ice with GM over this but was cut free when he insisted on fitting his enhanced Calais models with an unapproved independant rear end out of an Opel after being told by Holden not to do it, as they would'nt cover it through their dealer networks. The other Pete Brock of course is famous in the States for his efforts in the Trans am victories with 510s . He founded BRE which supplied performance parts for Datsun 510s, Zeds, utes and B110s in the US.
