hmmm, not flaming you dimlight, but why do you say blow through setup offers better performance than draw through?

In order from "easiest" (relatively speaking of course) to hardest:
Draw through, blow through, EFI.
In order of performance from worst (again speaking relatively) to best:
Draw through, blow through, EFI.
(Before you start flaming me, I said relatively! They are all going to perform better than naturally aspirated, and all have advantages and disadvantages.)
The DLR UM-1 is just my way around not being able to find a proper EFI manifold for an A-series engine. It will require engine management (computer) to run the injectors and such. The throttle body in the pictures is off of a 2 liter Volkswagen Jetta.

For the record, you can use an intercooler with a blow through carb also. But please don't use one with a draw through! Imagine if you will, the fuel falls out of suspension when the charge is cooled and fills the bottom tank of the cooler. You then have a very nice pressurized BOMB hanging out there in front of your bumper!
That's my $0.02 worth on the issue.

the turbos I used had internal waste gates like many of the production turbos use.
The waste gate is pre set.
and the oil lines were just tee'd off from the oil pressure sender unit, and the return was just welded back into the sump above the oil level and I never had a problem with oil pressure

For turbo stuff check the tech section there is an article on turbocharging that has been pointed out quite a few times now.

EFi is the best setup but also the most expensive. Basically the computer runs t he whole show. Injectors, throttlebody etc. The advantages of efi is you can use an intercooler.

1 turbo is easier to setup than 2 turbos and with the new technology available with ball bearing turbos there is no need to worry about lag.

I have planed on doing the race to the sky in a year or two I think a turbo will be the best way to go in search for more power what is the best set up a Blow through system, draw through system , carby, EFI,? In dimlights picture of "DLR UM1" it shows a throttle body when you have a setup like this do you have to have a computer and injectors or does the throttle body control everythin? (and what is it off) go_the_datto how did you plumb up the turbos on the A12tt like to control boost and so on how did you plumb up the oil and water lines for lubrication?

sorry for all the questions but im stumped
