hey guys,

recently the passenger side window on my 1200ute stopped winding all the way up .... and the door lock wouldnt go up and down , just stays up ...

when i took for the door upholstry off , the metal bracket on the bottom of the window that holds it in place was sitting in the bottom of the door and half of it is rusted away.....

not sure if you know what bit im talkin bout but anyway, can you get these from wreckers or what??

cause at the moment ive just got it sitting in place with the window up .... but the door lock still doesnt work (another problem , its like the switch has ceased or something , caused it wont lock and unlock) dramas i tell you dramas.....

any ideas?

There is a metal channel that the window glass is pressed into ... if you find a broken window at the wreckers they'll probably sell it cheap. Otherwise they usually like to sell the whole window.

if the key actually turns around in the barrel but the lock doesnt move i presume one of the rods has come off inside the door.
If the key doesnt turn it sounds like something has jammed or seized.
Its usually easy enough to fix just sometimes a bit of a fiddly job.
Get a decent light up inside the door skin and have a look - if necessary take the other door trim off and compare the two to see whats happened.
It can't be anything to serious.
