I could be wrong about this, but I wouldn't significantly lighten a flywheel (as per the diagram) without balancing the whole engine assembly. I certainly wouldn't do it to an engine that has already been balanced. A significant change in the mass at the very end of the crank is certain to have an impact on the engines harmonics, and you will have a lot less mass left in the flywheel to dampen those vibrations. Don't be too surprised if you have trouble with flywheel and front pulley bolts coming loose - loctite or not.

didn't read all this cause im too busy changing my clutch for tommorow, but i got the daiken clutch kit (a-15 vanette heavy duty job) off my auto shop for $100 bucks yesterday

I think you both have recons........or really good mates who are selling stuff less than cost. That or I'm getting ripped by my supplier. But I doubt that as all my other clutches I have quoted latelt I am under by a fair margin.
