1) 120y equipped with an L-Series from the factory was the "Sunny Excellent" (JDM only?) model with longer front end.
If the swap is so easy with the shorter front end models, you wonder why Nissan even bothered. 2) series 1 180b/610 uses 1600/510 struts/hubs/brakes.

Actually, it's only the sheet metal that's longer in the Excellent. The wheelbase is the same, the engine compartment the same. The grille and bonnet is a bit more pointed, hence the extra length.
