My a15 was dynoed at 112 at the wheels with the 38mm mikunis bike carbs tuned length 4 into 1 ext. self ported head (my first one! from following a ford cleveland guide) and unknown cam and block from speedway car. I glazed the bores and warped the head with a leaking heater hose on a 40 degree day. I then put an a12 with another match ported head to the miks and sold it a guy from sydney. it was my first 1000 coupe on a small budget and after missing it I got hooked again on the small buggers as I couldnt find someone who could build reliable rotaries as they usually like volksies re use internals which last not far beyond the warranty period but give them the unfairly tags them as unreliable. The r100 bug was squashed by the rarely stolen or hard to find parts datsun brand.
Still miss the power but not the cops, muffler joint and arrsewipe maztech.

yeah something like that and then add around 20 or 25hP for drivetrain losses

i discussed it on this site previously and me and others came to the conclusion it would be 100 or just under at the flywheel

i'm not that fussed

ive got an a12 motor which was dinoed at 100hp at 6500rpm and it was still pulling but the guy didnt know what was in it so he didnt take it higher. all its had done to it is a port and polish and twin 40s and extractors. so as long as the bottom ends good all you need to pay for are the carbs and the headers coz you can port it yourself. cheep horsepower!!

I got my stock free engine begging for a rebuild on the garage floor, with my cars problems, was looking at how much work and more importantly how many $$$ to get around 100 hp out of it. Any Build plans done yet?
When its built, may look at blow through finally for my current engine or 12a conversion... just lloking for some mild na power at prestent.
Anything better than 69 max hp
