Does anyone know the formula for calculating speed from rpm.

Would depend on what engine/diff/wheels/cam/carby/gearbox you have...
Better to just sit next to someone doing the speed limit and see how many revs that is...

engine rpm x gear ratio x diff ratio x distance around circumference of wheel in metres.
gives you how many metres you travel in a minute. convert this to kilometres a minute (divide by 1000) then times by 60 and thats your speed in kmh an hour
