not sure, girlock is prob an aussie copy of girling or something

is there many people into dattos in u.k., or do they even know what they are?

ive always had the impressiong that as far as older cars go they like to stick to their own and frown on the japaneese gear, is that true?

one good thing about u.k. is "thunder races"!!!!, i get it on foxtel but im geussing you guys get it on normal t.v., best show ever making up all those cars/contraptions in one day then racing them, what could be more fun?

There's aren't many Datto enthusiasts here but interest is growing steadily. Old Japanese cars never used to get a mention in classic car magazines but they are beginning to get noticed now. Shame really. It's all a bit too late as there's not many Datsuns left now

I use my 510 for track days now and it can hold it's own against mdern stuff and even some smaller engined Caterhams. That ensured it gets some interest in the pits

The scene if different here to Aus in that there are no old Jap motors with modern turbo power at the drags and no Rotas. Fast fours are generally Escorts with Cossie motors in them. I really need to get a little 1200 out there with a CA18DET to show them the light

Yeah, we get lots of imports. Nissan Skylines, 300ZX and Pulsar GTiR's and S14 Silvias. Not seen any S13 imports but there are a lot of S13 200SX's here anyway. The ones sold here are still a bit expensive for engine donors but occasionally a cheap one turns up.
Subarus we get Imprezza Sti and WRX as well as Legacy's. Toyota, Supra, Sera and some Corollas. I've seen a few AE86 imports here too. Mitsubishi Evos are the popular one at the moment but the Galants (VR4 or VR6 or something?) and GTO's were popular for a while. GTO's are getting pretty cheap now as are Skyline GTS and four door versions. I looked at a GTS that was
