I've seen these before. Wondered why they have that offset on the valve end. Must be because they set them up on orig shaft without any adjusting shims.
Looks like no roller bearings on the shaft either just a brass bush that the orig shaft slides thru.
The YT ones I have come with new shaft and pedastals so you don't re-use any of the original rocker hardware. I'm pretty sure they have needle roller bearings in the rocker where the shaft passes thru too.
Wonder what the Malvern ones cost and whether they can use existing cup and ball pushrods or need ones like mine.? Looks like you just screw an adaptor into the rod end to suit the rod your using.
I don't like anodised rockers either.......I believe it weakens the structure.

Besides.......mine look pretty.

It's possible they pictured one of the other applications listed which would explain the offset. How much were yours dattoman?

$590 Aus back in 97 I think.
I didn't get the pushrods with it like they list on the website as I wanted different ones.

That was trade back then as they are approx $900 retail now.

The stock rocker tips are offset also to provide valve rotation on the seat.

Further updated with some brakes and engine pics for the road car.
Turns out the Z18 is actually a CA18.
But its only a single cammer. Now I need to find info on these if anyone knows where I should look I'd appreciate it.

Some sorta news
I still haven't updated the website cause my camera isn't working.......but.......
The body is now home in the shed and I have begun rubbing it back for its first coats of GOLDEN YELLOW.
The chassis went to the tuning shop to set the webbers up for initial runing in.
The result on the dyno....not that we were going for figures yet just doing a basic setup and tune.
124hp at the wheels at 6000rpm. We didn't want to redline it as its still a fresh tight engine.
Lightning fast accelleration too.

Should be fun when its all assembled and makes its maiden voyage in January.

Will try to update the site when I get a chance and some more pics.

Neil

that's pretty healthy output considering its a tight new engine and probably a couple of thousand rpm short of the intended redline? what capacity is it?

should be very interesting in a light sport sedan body.

I really like those Datsun 1000, too bad we never got those here in the US. The Datsun 100 has something that reminds me of the Fiat cars, specially when lowered, the clear cut angles, cool cars.
