well we didnt want to at the start because we thought we could get the engine past, and we didnt have any tools to make the sleve or cut the extractors (angle grinder borken), but got hold of equipment etc etc, so it is all good now

i found out i dont have to cut the tailshaft with the 5speed i dont have time to balance itright away, but should i get it balanced later down the track ??? it's GC tailshaft should i still balance it?

Just put the tailshaft in and drive it. Since it is in Good Condition, you can decide later if you want to get it balanced.
