#1 I want it to turn on a dime and give 9 cents change! ;)
Datsun_Man_A10 Posted on: 2003/7/8 2:29
hey all! I'm brand new to the 1200 scene so I'll probably be asking tons of questions, hope you don't mind . I still have to give my new baby a tune up but the next thing on the list is making it corner like it's on rails! So what's available for the 1200? anti-sway bars? strut tower bars? chassis brace? polyurethane bushings? performance springs and struts? coil-overs? I'm looking for anything and everything. Thanks in advance.

Fill in your location in your preferences, so we can pass on info that is relevant to where you live.

Swaybars are still available from Addco, I believe, but I've been told that you only need a rear 5/8" bar and just use poly bushes in the oem front bar.
Strut tower bars are available in Japan by Cusco, but who sells them in North America?
Don't know what you mean by chassis brace.
Performance struts would be Tokico or Koni, but from a different model since the 1200 isn't on the applications any longer.
Front springs could also be sourced from a different model.
Coil-overs would be the best bet, but you'll need to find a shorter mcpherson insert to match.
Try Dave Turner Racing here in SoCal if you don't have a Canadian distributor.
You might find out more by doing a keyword search.

thanks for all the info! I think I read somewhere that B210 front anti-sway bar bolts right in on a 1200 and is bigger, that true? and where could I find coil-overs? would they have to be taken from a different model and modified to fit? Thanks again.

oh ok, I checked out the dave turner site and I see that they have coil-over kits for mcpherson struts (didn't quite clue in for a minute there). Has anyone done this swap? is there any info about this somewhere?

There are coil-overs listed in the Parts Sources article.

I've been told that Toyota TRD coilovers also fit ... I've seen two setups, not sure but I think it is EP71.

yep b210 swaybar straight in, 3mm thicker than b110, use b310 "u"-mounting bracket rubbers for obvious reason
