I find the square lights are a by-product of styling from 1974-1984, which is a period where plastics were used in far too many car trims. I like the Chrome/Stainless trims of the Cars from 1949-1972.

If I could make up a stainless guard trim to suit the square headlight, I could then make a neat stainless bar grille to suit. A bit like the '68 1600 grille. I think I still prefer the round ones though. Much easier

Here's the only square headlight swap I know of ... they are the small squares:

Putting the B140 grille on a coupe might look good ...

Hey South African friend. Have you ever seen a Datsun/Nissan 140Z and 160Z in your country? I ask because it seems South Africa is the only place I know off where these nice Datsuns ever existed. Are there any around? . Also, I noted on your avatar is says 16V, is your Nissan a Backie ute with a factory 16valve engine?
I know through the internet of several 140Z and 160Z Datsuns, "L" series OHC engined cars, have you seen those around?
In South America the 1200 utes where build untill fairly recently with squared front lamps. Too bad the US never got the utes at all.

Hy bro, do you think Nissan of South Africa has parts for older Datsun cars still in stock? any way you know I can contact Nissan of South Africa parts?
Thanks. I wish I could see a 140Z running around.
In Ecuador, South America, the 1200 ute was built, with front square lamps, low ceiling. I have some pixes, but in paper photo, if I can scan them(I have no scanner), I will post them in the club.
