There must be a very good reason (aside from paranoia) why JDM always blur or cover their license plates in pics.

Must cost a fortune, looks excelent.
I see those weird carpet designs seem to be stock, my B210 has something like that and I used to think the previous owner was some kind of chepo guy installing some bathroom carpet in the car, I see many Datsun owners share my disfortune. Nothing that cannot be taken care off.

Yes, 1200s had that weird carpet, but usually just on the trans tunnel with rubber mats. The US models I saw with full carpet had more conventional type of carpet.

It's too easy to match a number plate to a car, they then match it to where you live, then criminals come around with a sawn-off shotgun and either car jack you as you drive out the driveway..or steal it when you aren't around. When we drive our Dattos only one a week, that means maybe 20 Datsun admirers will see it per week. On the net, hundreds might see it, and this opens up the possibility that someone will see it, know all about what's been done to it, and make the above scenario an even more possible event.

Ah, in Washington state, license plate registration is confidential. But in Oregon, you pay a small fee and get the name and address of the owner. Yep, I'd be worried too.

hey if your going to have a hotted up car you'll be on the theft market. i think we all take chances getting in our cars. personalised plates don't help there isn't more than one SIK 1200 or VTSS308 thats my thought anyway if it's gonna happen it's gonna happen i was out to dinner the other night and i came out of the resteraunt got to my car and there was a guy trying my passenger door it wasn't my dat it was my daily driver i just walked up said can i help you and he pretended to be on the phone. he then walked over to his 9 mates so i couldn't do a thing. all cars are targets. im not disagreeing with anyone here im in full agreeance
