Hy bro, for wheels, a good source (in US) of sport /racing products brands is the magazinne that comes out every 2 months, sold at bookstores and newstands,(Barne'Noble, etc) Grassroots Motorsports. There you have a lot of vendors for wheels, and more. You can get 13 inch Mini light wheels, and othe kinds/brands, as well as stock steel wheel businesses that stretch your stock wheels to specs(Offset, etc). I got some stretchies made, in part I like the black colored, racy look, and also , today's thiefs do not want stretchies, they go for the 16+ look, so I can rest asure no wackos will come around my Datto.
Mini lights are nice, and available easily, ready for or taylor made to your backspace/offset specs. Jaime.

Grassroots Motorsports magazine (SCCA racing) is awesome! I was just looking at the latest issue on Saturday, and it had the $2003 competition - the entire budget for car, engine, etc. There were things like 510 with Oldsmobile V8, Golf with turbo, etc. Lots of inventive cars, a huge article. I looked through the whole thing but didn't see a 1200, but there was more than one Datsun.

Is it just me or are others upset that short tires are no longer avaliable? Many of the coolest 1200's downunda are not lowered very much due to the 16's & 17's they're runnin. I run 15's, and only because I found a rare tire size that keeps me from lookin like a rally car, but I bet that tire will be NLS next time I need 'em. Hey Jaime, is this the mosquito you're talkin about? ![]()

umm i belive that they do make 185 50 r13 for minis and they used to do a 195 but they rubbed on the inner archs at the rear with rubber cone suspension on the minis.
i know you can almost easily get 185 60 r13's but for that real low profile look, the 50 serise would look good.toyo tyres make these in 185/60/13 and also 205/60/13

This was intriguing me so I looked back through my about 100 mini magazines from a few years ago and the largest mini tyre I could find was a 175/50/13 and even that was pretyt rare most of them were no larger than 165. I did find one second hand ad selling 185/55/13s but dont know where they came from.
Looking at new tyres for my Honda atm as see on one of the pamphlets you can get a Dunlop Forumla 901 in 205/60/14. A wee bit bigger and probably wouldnt look right cause the side wall would be too big but its still an option

Flken used to do one ( i had 175,60r12) on my mini (with mini lights) and used to drool over the 185/50r13 combo that this guy with a clubamn had. from memory they were yokohama 502 (this was about 5 years ago).
5 years ago means it does us jack all good now cause they probably not in production any more. 185/55R13 77 H CMV2 next best i could find now from uk

Gary I have spare set of wheels exactly like the ones on your Rally car with 175/60 13" tires made by Falken. Also if you plan to Auto-X this car Yokohama 008's in 185/60 13's can be had by calling used race tire guy - he has had in Sports Car evey month. The tires are Spec Racer take offs , I had a set I put on my brothers 1200.

Hy again, Matt, that plane has smaller tires than the mosquitoes I was refering to, perhaps I should relate those to Ostriches, yes, mechanical ostriches.
Dgonz, that magazinne is cool, glad you know it, it is more in tune with the car enthuisiast, not as the rest of them to much into the show of, puffed chromes type of deal, which is oK for those that like that, Grassroots is a real car, real fan, real world type of mag. Several times they had Datsuns, Toyotas, Mazdas and other cars from the 70's and 80's, all fixed up, it is an inclusive, not exclusive mag. Cool. About the mini tires, I hope soon we get a better array of tires, because not only the old mini, but all these new japanesse mini cars are coming out, and those would look gook and perform on 13's.(microcars). If only we had a japanesse speaker in the club, we need a spy in Japan to keep us up to the latest stuff. Jaime.
