All I can tell you is my MSD really woke my A12 up. But we've already discussed this on MSN huh... don't know much about the fireballs.

So MSD 6a boxes work? cool , I got a MSD 6a , billet MSD distributor ,Accel super coil, Weber 32/36 and headers 6 into 2(right, 6 into 2, it is for my super RHD postal jeep, my Datsun cars' best friend), I got it a while ago and I will pepe up the 6 in line banger to make it mor reliable, it's my towing car, and beach/ rough terrain buddy. Should I expect a much better response with all that installed? I hope, it was not cheap, and the next one will be the A15, MSD 6A box, recurved distributor, headers, after that, cam and twin DCOE's. Jaime........a MAJOR word of warning about towing with a Jeep.......DON'T!! I have seen what happens when such a short wheelbase tow vehicle gets up to speed. The jeep went fishy & rolled. Permanent end of story. Just keep it on surface streets & under 50mph if you tow. Please.

Yes, RHD jeep, I will post a picture , it is cool, powerfull and cheap. When I tow, it is short distances, and with a tow bar, it has plenty of power, but the short base makes it not perfect for towing, but , short distances is fine, the short base makes it prone to understeer while towing, but with care, no problems at all. If not towing, it is a fast conmuter, goes fast in highways, excelent for long distance driving, I took care of the stability issues of jeeps with wider tires/wheels, it drives like a train, most important, I would never go beyond its capabilities, as a driver, I got to respect the capabilities and limitations of any car I'm in . I'll post a picture, not a Datsun, but my Datsuns' best friend!!!!!! Jaime

I have an MSD 6AL. It's the same as the 6A with a rev limiter. That's the main reason I got it. Works just fine. I had some problems at first. The hotter spark would "leak" through my cheap spark plug wires. I also use a Pertronx Ignitor in the distributor to trigger the MSD. Pertronix Ignitor

Petronix ignitor, that is what I will need for my L20B, points dist, the A15 has electronic dist, but the L20 will get the Petronix, treatment, is it work oK? I posted some pixes of the MSD box and distributor. Cheers___________________________

I think the plug gaps are .055"(1.4mm). The Pertronix works fine. It mounts in place of the points and a small plastic piece with the magnets slips on the dist shaft under the rotor. The blk wire goes to the coil(-), the red wire goes to +12v at the balast resistor. That's it. I use to carry a new set of points in the car just in case it failed. You can NOT use a high power coil with the Pertronix, they pull to much current and can burn it up(that's what the instructions say). I didn't notice any major change in my car's performance but I've also never had to change or adjust **cking points again. I believe it's also a legal upgrade in some race catagories.
