Enough that it's worth changing it for an electric one

Anyone know of any good electric ones?? Will they fit in the old water pump galley or are they inline with the radiator and thermostat?

He meant fans, but I think you mean water pumps. You can get an inline pump from Summit.

fans are pretty cheap off of a dihatsu charade at the wreckers. and then get the little thermos that keep em running at certain temps and when you shut off your engine they keep running to cool engine to lower chances of water boil in the jacket.

as for pumps drop into you local auto parts store i think that company craig Daveys is one they make thermo fans and oil radiators and elec water pumps and stuff. they used to sell em at marlows/ rocca bros. but now it's super cheap i don't know real assholes in there now. don't like shopping there

On my 2.5L Triumph 6 it is commonly acknowledged that replacing the crank driven fan with electric frees up between 5 and 7 BHP.

As a general rule I have seen manufacturers state between 5-15 BHP being released depending on engine/fan size.

I love the quite running/ free revving / quick warm ups that you get from having an electric fan instead of crank driven.

On something small like a 1200 I reckon it's a fairly sensible thing to get rid of - esp. if you want to rev high.
