It's 10pm Wednesday night here now. I have a reservation on the first flight to the Bay Area on Thursday.
I'm headin' to California to look at something special. So you may not see me on the site tomorrow, but I'll be back soon ...

Ah, so you are going to look at something special? You ought to try and go to Pleasanton for the GoodGuys carshow.

This is a Datsun1200 news alert.
DD's "something special" trip started with him flying to the Bay Area. I have it on good authority that he is now near Vacaville........driving home. ![]()

closer shots of the car:
2-dr sedan - Deluxe 2-dr sedan chris, I don't think the long drive wore the 1200 out, but it nearly wore me out! The A12 purred like a kitten the whole way up Interstate 5 (at 65 and 70 mph). And per the new airline safety rules, I couldn't bring any tools on the flight down ... so I didn't have any. Call it trust in the old Datsun quality. The car is 31 years old. I can't believe I just did this!

congrats! on the new car.
No tools!?!? Not even in your carry-on? I guess if you had had any problems you could have bought tools along the way.

I didn't even have a screwdriver. They won't allow wrenches or anything in carry-on.
In the back of my mind I thought I'd buy some along the way if needed, then as I'm driving along, around midnight I realized it might be difficult to find an open store ... You can view topic.
