Hey Does anyone know the differences between an A12 carb and an A14 carb when put on an A12 engine? Which would be better on the A12? Thanks

The A12 carb is best ... because it is factory tuned for the A12.
The A14 carbs have one arguable advantage: the anti-diesel valve. But the A12 carb doesn't have it and doesn't need it if the engine is tuned correctly.
The main difference is the emissions features, A14s usually have leaner jets, different hose connections for various things, different dashpot, etc. But it fits, Block off the ports not used.
