Hey can you get the paint code for the red paint???? And what colour was the interior does it make a difference?? Can I assume that it had a K and N filter or was it a standard aircleaner painted red with a K and N sticker????

If you read back in the datsun1200.com history, a fella called Chris in New Zealand, he's since bought a late model Primera, and regretfully sold his Datsun 1200 to impress his girlfriend, so he doesn't visit much these days.
It all started by talking about the pros/cons of water injection. This sprouted the idea of using Fanta instead. Now, Fanta is available in different countries as green , red, orange & yellow colours/flavours. We discussed the performance advantages of using different colours and using multipoint fanta injection to really increase power. Running higher pressure was also another way to increase power. Not to mention blow-though or draw-through configurations for turbo applications..

Some of the threads went so over the top, that I remember almost falling out of my chair in laughter on a few occasions.

This Chris fella (Not me), used to go on with "Choice Bro" long before it was popular on Sydney Radio station Nova FM. He was a real character who rarely said anything sensible, but he was a mechanic and contributed well.

Chris.

You have the insight of a Guru.
Your three words cracked me up & you get my YAY for the day.

As for the rest who are losing control of their [virtual] mouths, lets just sum it up by saying that we all find it unlikely in the extreme that any Datsun 1200 with it's stock engine that the factory says is flat out developing less than 70 horsepower, is capable of a sub 10 second pass over the quarter mile.
The factory couldn't do it & they use engineers that earn more in a month than i make in a year, & they earn it for good reason.
Can we leave it at that & get on with really important stuff,..... like Fanta injection.
Chris
