after lowering my car, I relocated lower control arm out about 1.5" and moved it up about 3/4" giving more neg camber and correct control arm angle I adjusted camber by sloting top of strut tower per datsun comp sus. manual also modified strut arm and adjust castor with shims on arm cheap way and it works, caster range from 2.5 to 5.5 degrees nag camber 1.5 to 4.5 degrees I found 2.25 camber and 4.0 caster works best for me.

I wouls say the most of the $500 big ones are in the cost of the special thrust bearing which takes the load of the strut trying to push through the top of the tower.
The spherical bearings I use are designed for peak axial loads of 20kn (2000 kg's. This means about 8 G's on a typical car). The bearings are aircraft grade and cost $140 each The bearings form the largest part of the costs of the tops.

There are cheaper bearings used but they are not designed for the axial loads they are subjected to in a strut top.

I am looking at doing an HD urethane style top to lower costs from the current $600/pair.

Bobs1200, how did you fix the bump steer? Heat and bend the arm, or something more cunning???

Congrats on the LZ Erol!!!!
