Hi Kegs
It's funny how people think darker clours make the interior hotter. RACQ did a test on that theory several years ago and found that the exterior colour doesn't affect the interior's temperature.
I've owned cars in just about every colour and you're absolutely right black is a pain in the butt to keep clean.
Another colour that might look good is a deep red. I haven't seen too many older cars in that sort of colour.
I know white isn't that interesting but if there is any panel damage it will be easier to match and maintain. There is nothing worse
than seeing a dark coloured car out in the sunlight with swirl marks all over it.
Regards Matty

ive got a black ute as u can see in my pic and id say the worst part bout a black car is that it is hard to keep clean but the upside is it looks bloody awesome, ppl say its too hot in the car but the only time it gets hot is if u leave the car outside for a few hours then get back in, but other than its fine, just open the windows and five minutes its normal. cheers hope ur car turns out good wateva colour.

On older cars with crome bumpers etc I prefer darker colous.

Gun metal would be nice but im yet to find a pic so in the flesh I may change my mind

Or black like already said. Or dark green or dark blue or dark purple

So many choices. Have to get a dozen datsuns

Hi Peddler
Black always looks good on cars but the panels need to be perfect before it's applied or you won't do it justice. I have seen a couple of silver 1200s and they looked really good. But if it's going to be a race car you will invariably cop some panel damage so white is probably the best option. I know it's a bit boring but light colours are easier to maintain.

Black would be good for the simple reason there is not many black 1200's around.

And I will probably be going to Bathurst, not quite sure yet. At the very least I will make it to the street party

Who else is going?
