I'll be doing the exact same once I go full paint. Love the way it looks. Also smoothing the tailgate since I won't be hauling anything. I think cutting the lip off makes it look a little longer too which is cool.

All I can say is wow! those welded tailgates make the rear end soooo smooth!
have you all just welded the tailgate across or actually made a new skin from left to right?

I think mine's just welded... they did a crappy job as you can see towards the bottom (rust). I've got a new gate and roll pan though for when I go full paint.

yeh, pics will be coming soon, it is still getting painted in the new rav$ dark blue.

i've just lowered so the gaurd is sitting on top of the rim, it looks really nice. ive also taken the 2 locking mechanisms off the back and put a single hilux one inside the tray, and flared the gaurds.

ill have pics soon, i think it will look alot like the blue one in the picture that 2332owner has put out, but a little lower. with 15 inch performance titan deep dish. i had to change my stud pattern though.

i've taken on wally's supercharge idea but am running higher boost. good for 12s, and cheap as hell.
