the shifter on my ca18det 1200 ute is only 2" back from the original position. if this concerns u, perhaps the ca conversion is not a good idea!

Okay, so it might not be a bad idea to use the ca18det rwd 5spd rather than the stumpy 5spd. However, where does the shifter end up, in the back seat? Also, any other fitment issues aside from cutting out the shifter opening, when installed in a 1200 with larger automatic trans. tunnel? TIA.
