Don't you worry about the chassis flexing when you rotate it...or is it light enough (stripped of drivetrain/suspension) not to be a concern?

Good info though!! Thank you.

when you say chasis do you mean the car or the rotisserie?
If you mean the rotisserie you have to think'
how much does just the body of the car weigh without windows doors guards etc,
also how much do the engine stands carry, and also the higher you make the engine stands this max weight is reduced.

If you mean the car, you have to think where you make the mounting positions.

Phunk they only have the short tailights at that wreckers Im sorry.
The Alfa 105 gtv 2 ltr, Berlina 2000 gt, Alfa Montreal v8 all have them with the live axle finned alloy casing and sump setup as well as other early italian and german sportscars.
The centre for these can be found in many european sports cars as well as luxury cars.
BMWs, Ferraris, Mercedes and many other sprts cars as well as F1 cars use the ZF with 25% brakaway pre loading.
Im trying to find the 3.5 used in some BMWs and Benz but info is hard to come by for this diff housing as all now are independant setups.

D thanks for trying with the lights.
So they are the models. I have worked on many Alfas and I was racking my brain trying to think which one had a live axle rear. Cool now I know

If you get the chance to get them cheap keep an eye out cause they go for about 650-1200 for the auto 4.5 or 3.9 and 800-1600 for the 4.11. They are the lightest production diff and one alfa guy has weighed a Hallibrand unit centre and housing and they come out to be the same only 3000 cheaper and with the ability for 400 hp as seen behind a sydney drag ke25 corolla that runs a big boosted 13b turbo and this guys done more than 500 launches with out any complaints or anything. He has a carshop tuning business and website with a lo-cost Delco injection software.
