Have you thought of replacing the carb with a DGV Weber ? They've got a lot fewer parts, are a much simpler unit and are more effective ? You can get one from a Wrecker for about $50 (off a 2L Escort or Cortina). Many people here, including myself, have done this to eliminate things like the very hassles you're having. Hope this helps you out

This might be off your topic but I have a 78' 620 pickup with a L20B engine. I recently rebuilt the carb wtih a kit and now it spits out too much fuel. I have adjusted the float valve, messed with the mixture screws, everything. But it won't start. I was wondering what other models of hitachi carbs will work on the L20B. I really need some help seeing as how the truck hasn't run in 3 months now. Thanks, Isaac
