Twin Carbs? SUs?

I think I can get ahold of a pair of 1.75" SU's - would these be any good for my 1200?
I'm going to be setting it up as a hillclimb/sprints/street car (not daily driver) If these aren't any good, what else should I be looking for? Cheers Ash

SUs are OK, but they say quality can vary.
Datsun 1200 GX models came with twin Hitachi sidedrafts, if you can get those, they are excellent carburetors. See Which Carburetor?
