#1 Patrol overheating problems
dazzasute Posted on: 2004/6/11 15:33
My old man owns two 1990 patrols, a wagon (family car) and a ute (work car). They have both proved to be great cars, except on a warmish day, they overheat. I know this is a common problem, so I was wondering if anyone has done anything to fix this????

Apparently the problem is that the coolant doesn't flow throught the motor enough...
It drives my old man up the wall. Would fitting an intercooler or something like that help? (its non-turbo)
reuby_tuesday you own a patrol? (just going by your avatar, even if it is an earlier model)

Fitting an inter cooler will not help.

1st check the fan and make sure thats working. As with my truck it was doing the same thing once and it was all because I had not put the shroud(thing that goes around my fan to make the fan suck the air through the raditor).

2nd run about 80/20 split of anti frezze to water.

sorry about the spelling.
