me and my bro had an idea about buying a couple of 180sx's or similar (RWD preffered) for use in rallying and autocross

that way we dont need to comply them, just get motorsport permit for them, just wondering i know AF said 180sx's were around $1500 (was that US?)

but is it common to see done up versions for racing for sale, good roll cage, seats harnesses etc?, because some importers here sell motorsport only GTi-Rs and mazdas and stuff, just wondering, may never happen, just an idea

I got a really good deal on my 180SX in the condition it's in ($1400). Typically you can get decent, stock/slightly modified ones between $2000 - 4000 US. The more mods that have been done, the more they sell for. One that's setup well for drifting usually go $4000 on up. If they've got a lot of work expect $5-6000+.

However, these prices are all for cars to be registered for road use as well. I've never shopped for a circuit prepped, no rego 180 but I'll take a look into it and see if I can find something.
