#1 ready for Mt Cotton Sept 5

well, I changed back to my old gearbox today in preparation for another go at Mt Cotton Hillclimb in a couple of weeks. I've only been back there once since the new engine went in this year, and despite the 25% extra bhp at the wheels, I was no faster than before because of the gearing in the new box. So I've gone back to my 240Z gearset, and hoping to finally break 50 sec barrier. I've been stuck on that mark for about a couple of years now.

I've also got a bit more camber on the front now. Its off for an alignment at LEDA Suspension tomorrow, but I think it should be somewhere around 5 to 5.5 degrees now - almost enough!

There's a couple of other members here thinking about competing at this one, which would be really good.

its on Sunday Sept 5.
MG Car Club Mt Cotton Hillclimb is on Gramzow Rd. I think it even shows up in the UBD as "MG Car Club".

Free to get in and watch, or $66 to enter the event. Entries close this Friday. You need a CAMS licence and basic safety stuff to enter. You can see pretty much the whole track from the spectator area, and there's normally alot of cars worth watching.

Yep! i'll be there!
Not out to brake the "land-speed" record or anything, just going out there in the interests of research & development!
Once the initial costs(club member ship, cams licence)are out of the way it is a relitly easy and cheap form of motorsport, thats what appeals to me. If you haven't got a CAMS licenceHave a look here!(i think you need Adobe arcrobat reader to be able to look at it)
And you have to take it in person to 'Sports house' which is located on the padinton side(north side) of suncorp stadium, costs $85 per yr.
Would be excellent if some dato members where there,
So how 'bout it??????????????
