v8 into a datto 1600

could any one tell me the probability of fitting a 308 into a datsun p510, cheers.

Anything is possible with enough cutting and shutting.
weight would be something to think about Width might also be an issue. If its too wide, then a 305 chev has a steeper angle of the V, but its slightly taller. getting it licensed, well, thats another whole ball game, and depending on where you are from, will determine if it is even a worthwhile project to attempt. i would suggest speaking to a local engenieer to see what would be involved. I have only even seen pics of V8s in dattos that are drag cars. anything is possible though...

I saw a 1600 at summernats 2 years ago it was running a V8 turbo charge monter of a motor look like it fit quite well.

not sure but im thinking ford 351 for some reason all i know is that he was from orange.

351? that would of taken some chopping at the body. you wouldnt by any chance know how wide a 308 or a 351 is would you?

i was just researching that a p76 4.4 liter v8 will fit with ease, would any one know where i could locate one?

the 3.5L and 3.9L all alloy rover V8s would 'fit' and be light over the front wheels. there's lotsa goodies for them too.
