Anyone know a place in Sydney (Australia) that can modify steel car rims?

Thanks

Matt.

what do you want to do.do you want new rims on existing centres, redrill a stud pattern.
morton & may at liverpool can put wider rims on existing centres. circle track wheels at seven hills can do various things as well, but they usually do light alloy wheels.they both should be in the phone book.

thanks for the reply... Just looking to get my current steel wheels widened.

Was also thinking of getting a space saver wheel made up too. But I just thought of that one.

Just an update - I took my wheels to a few places around Sydney - including one or two mentioned already... and most put me in the 'too hard basket'.

I'm tired of going to so called modification places where all they really do do is replace a part with something else - that's not modifying (well not in the true sense) it's just replacing.

Anyway I found my way to Top Tyres at Blacktown and seriously I have never encountered a more helpful bunch. They really thought about what they could do - and if a problem came up they just figured out how to solve it. I have not got my wheels back yet but I need not worry - I was left with the reassuring words "Don't worry - we will figure something out no matter what".

When was the last time anyone heard that and actually believed it?

It's good to hear a positive story.....and also to hear of a company you can rely on.

Everyone is in it for the money, but occasionally you come across a shop that also provides service. Thats whats called a Buisness not just a Workshop.
I am glad Top Tyres could help out, I think they have changed hands since I last had anything to do with them. Its good to see if they are new owners they have still kept up their quality of service.

Cheers Steve
