i heard that the L20 is a turbo diesel engine and the L20B is a gas engine.am i right??
can i use the turbo hardware from the L20 disel for my L20B(like exaust manifold, intake manifold)??will everything fit??and if so can i upgrade the turbo on it. i'm asking this because it will be easier for me.instead of fabricating my own

both L20 and L20b are gas engines. the B has a taller head.

the L20b is a 4 cylinder 2 litre petrol motor.
the L20A is a 6 cylinder 2 litre petrol motor. im not sure what the diesel L motor is.

it will be a job that requires everything to be fabricated from scratch - exhaust manifold, inlet plumbing, exhaust, carby adaptor etc etc.
there's no "easy" way to turbocharge a non-turbocharged engine, but there is an "easy" path to follow to remove most of the R&D involved.

There is a turbo diesel 4cyl L series, designated LD20T. Only thing I know of that it is fitted to is the Nissan Largo people mover thing. I am told the manifolds will fit the L20B. They won't be anything flash, and may not flow very well for a petrol engine. But if that engine is available in your part of the world then it is worth checking out, but the turbo will have to be upgraded to be suitable for the wider operating range of the petrol engine.
