A15 Probs

Hi guys i've got an A15 with twin 40mm webers. The prob i have is that it wont pull or rev. It used to rev to over 8K but then it developed a missfire. I found the fault to be a cracked dizzy, fixed that prob with a bit of nail polish but still replaced it with a genuine nissan cap (it's electronic. Think its same as n14). Well after that it was back to its old performance. now i'm having the same kind of probs it gets to about 4K rpm and gets a major flat spot and just wont pull, it will keep reving but takes a long time to get there. I have changed the plugs and fitted 10mm leads. Would this be a fuel prob? or maybe valve springs (it doesn't get driven often and has a very high lift cam). I'm not too sure about fuel as it revs freely when not under load but has the same fault in every gear (It should rev out in at least first gear untill the fuel bowls run low). Thanks guys sorry for the long post.

Just something else, my A15 it redlines at 3,500. on the highway doing 100km it revs at 4,000.
Being stock standard i thought it was normal. is this low revs ment to be ? or could there be something wrong?

I used to run my 100% stock A15 up to 6,000 rpm regularly. What you are experiencing is not normal.

The differential won't cause this ... it's in the engine: ignition, carb or valves.
First, do a compression check.

did you check the timing and make sure its all getting the correct volts. my a15 had a similar problem but it was just the tune it would rev regularly to well over 6500 with no probs
