Late model 120Y auto, how strong are these 'box's ?
Just trying to unload the diff + also sick of changing manuals. Oh, and I'm cheap.

If it's a JATCO box he is strong like a bullet. They are based on the C4 and I spent 4 weeks over Christmas trying to break one in my NZ Sunny. Holding in low and manually shifting at valve bounce, burn outs, gravel sprints, teaching the kids to drive in the paddock etc etc. She's like a rock still mate.

Looking at doing some A-series development, using a 120Y auto as the testbed. A-14 with supercharger will be the first port of call. The Auto will eliminate any inconsistencies related to a manual box.
Hoping to generate around 120HP at the flywheel. Hopefully this will up the stall speed a bit, but I am worried about busting the box. Has anyone run an A15 in front of one? for a period of time?
