Hello all, im just wondering how hard it is to remove a windscreen, front and rear in a ute, and then replace it using the same rubbers. Is this even possible? I have never removed a windscreen before. What are the odds of cracking it with professional tools? are there professional tools?

i dont know if its wise to take advice from an ameture like my self but
all i used was a butter knife to free up the rubbers then get inside and gently with force pushe them out with my feet be sure to lay somthing softon your boot/bonnet eg mattres to catch the glass or even better a friend to catch it for you then to put them back in get put the rubbers back on the wandow apply some window sealer get some thin rope and lay it all arount the grove in your rubber place the window in position and slowly pul the rope out from the inside the car this should pop the rubber back in probebly confused the #### out of you but there you go

Do it on a hot day, that helps a lot.
If it's old (> 5 years old) then there is a good chance that you'll wreck the rubber. Get quotes on new rubber before you start, and make sure that they have them in stock. It could be a 2 week downtime on yuor car, if you don't plan for this.

RB20's way is the way the pros do it there are no special tools. Just be sure not to force it.
