Hey fellas i was wondering firstly what is a good conditon CA18 worth out of the trading post or wherever else you get them? Im thinking of putting one in my 120Y and im trying to get an idea of price first for the engine then getting it put in by someone or is it too expensive and i should do it myself though may take some time.

Im just trying to get an idea of price and does anyone know of somewhere decent is brisbane that does that sort of stuff without charging through the roof?

Firstly, I have a CA18 (non turbo) you can have for $500 but if you are doing a conversion you may want to buy a complete engine, gearbox & wiring loom.

Secondly there is a bloke by the name of Kevin Rowley who is semi-retired & works out of his shed in Bellbird Park doing conversions........mainly on 1200's but he can do just about anything & offers a quality product at a cheaper price than a performance shop.

I saw a CA18DET 120y on the Asutralian Ebay site not long ago, he want only $4000 for it and no-one bidded!!! All it needed was a spray some nice wheels and interior and thats it! All the hard work and $$$ had already been done..shame to not see it sell.
