#1 My race coupe dead...panelbeater / spare shell wanted.
converted Posted on: 2005/6/17 10:43
Today I hired out my race coupe to a nice gentleman who was racing it in the NSW State round this weekend.
Out on the first practice session this morning 2nd lap, the driver kicked the car on a ripple strip and the car dug in and rolled
Pics later...its a mess, but i need help from someone in the club that may have a spare shell and, or who is an experienced panel beater and can knock my car into shape or swap out the shell at a cost obviously, which will be paid at market rate.
One consilation to this is that he has already paid for the majority but we need to nail a final amount..
I would need an itemised quote for both options to get the car back to original condition as it was first thing this morning.
Anyone able to help?

Not good news craig
Although at least you have got some money out of the guy. I often hear of mates driving there freinds car and crashing them with no money changing hands only freindships!!
Ill keep an eye and an ear out for any descent shells.
Cheers Andrew
On another note just think the next one will be better

Man It still has not sunk in that the mighty datto has been turned upside down. Must have been a horrible sight to watch it being brought back on the back of the truck. Seeing though you had trouble with the trailer it obviously did not want to go

I hear the guy is usually a BMW driver.

You've got a great attitude mate. I was hoping as I opened that post that it wasn't someone I knew - let alone a car I knew well. I have an excellent shell available for you in Sydney - drop me a line. Also happy to fly back and help you rebuild it.
