Go for it!
Supersprints are a great place to start. They're cheap, common and you don't NEED to be quick. You'll need a CAMS licence. Visit their website. Fill in a form and pay the $80 bucks or so and you're good. Then you need head-to-ankle-to-wrist cotton clothing, (Some guys just wear jeans and long sleeve cotton shirt), enlosed non-nylon shoes (dunlop volleys from K-mart ok) and a CAMS approved helmet (start at $90). Um.. fire extinguisher might be mandatory too??!! The supersprint will cost you about $175 for the day and is mostly insurance and track hire fees. Contact your local track and ask who the contact is for the next scheduled supersprint.

most categories will have the lowest class as
0-1600 cc,so an a15 is the best start to get close to the class limit, but an a14 will be just as good.the a10 only has a 3 bearing main crank, so it's not the best start,& you can't fit bigger cranks.the best bet is to go into you're local cams office & see if they can tell you what categories the local club racers run to.they can also point in in the direction of an active club.get a cams manual at the same time.i know here in nsw they have about 6 different categories, standard, road registered, improved production, sports sedan, openwheelers & sports cars, then a class for all the wrx's,evo's,prb's,etc.all these have capacity classes at the same time.
