#1 a15 camshafts ?

anyone help with standard cam spec's.have been told there are different to a14 ,a12.
also any advice on cam selection, new or regrind /springs etc.smaller tow cam prehaps .plan on reconditoning my a15 soon .standard build , just head porting and carby upgrade. my a15's head is the peanut high comp type. ta

A15 camshafts are not unique. Early A15 used the same cam as early A14. But late A15 used the mid range rpm cam also used by various A12A and A14 engines worldwide.

If you want the most HP, you need to rev the engine high. So use the early A14/A15 cam which makes peak HP at 6000 rpm.

If you prefer to make more HP at 4500 rpm, use the late cam

I had a Wade Cam re-ground to match the early or late a15 cam into A12GX specs but with more lift with honda cb1000 34mm quad carbs, dble valve springs, e15 ignition and pipes. Was crisp and very throaty came alive much sooner than on similar setup A12 gx engine.
