#1 auto tranny trouble

Symptoms motor revs to 2500 rpm and tranny slowly catches up. The old weber came off then put the stock carbby on Weber needs rebuild. Checked for vacum leaks and so forth. Helping a friend new to the datto world.

5sd are real hard to find around here every body crushed the little cars have to travel across the mtns to get one. might have one in afield about 45 miles from here

sounds like you need fluid in the auto

Yes, it could be low on fluid. Fill it to the minimum line, then drive it 15 minutes. Then top it up to the regular mark. Don't overfill it or similar problems can occur.

yeah stupid me found out too much fluid is no good the hard way took all day to work it out. the dip stick isn't perfect cause the car is running when you check (one side of the dipstick will be higher).......measure from the hgher side and you should be right good luck

the fluid level seems to be good maybe a touch full.

1st ? does the trans fluid smell burnt, if so internal trans problem

2nd ? was it ok before carb swap if so look for a dissconected vac line to trans

yeah proably the vaccume line to the vaccume modulator on the side of the gearbox
