I clogged up a fuel filter after about 2000 miles, so I suspect there is rust in my gas tank.

Has anyone tried the do-it-yourself sealer kits that are sold in auto parts stores?

I could have it done professionally at a cost of about $200, but was wondering if anyone has used the sealer kits.

It may just be crap in your fuel tank. When I was a kid, my dad worked in the oil industry. When I would "help" (tag along from sheer boredom) him, I can recall pumping out underground fuel tanks. It still to this day amazes me just how much water, and other debries can actuallt lie in these tanks. I mentioned it to him the other day, and he said to me, the only time there's any danger of getting sh1t from a servo, is when they are filling their tanks.
So, NEVER FILL YOR CAR WHEN THE TANKER IS THERE!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I used to have an LPG car, the crap you can get from the pump can be scary you probably have picked up rubish from the fuel station just get a new filter and change it over and see how you go. I've never heard of a LPG tank sealer

wagon1200 the yanks call petrol gas ie. petrol (gas) tank not lpg tank

One of the nice things about the 1200's gasoline tank is that it has a drain plug. Get two shallow buckets and a couple of 5-gallon buckets, and drain it dry. Then pour some of the clean gasoline back in to flush the tank.

You can carefully pour gasoline from one bucket to another and discard the junk or water in the bottom of the bucket.
