Here's the story She says you guys down there do not have "Root Beer" WTF? She is going through withdrals(sp?) I was half tempted to send her some "just because" Im a nice guy

not sure if we have it, but if we do it certainly isn't called root beer. but in this part of the world, rooting often happens as a result of excess beer comsumption because both the girls' standards, and your own, drop. so you are more likely to pick up and go back to her place for a ..... but I digress...

is it anything like ginger beer?

you can get root beer, its available from most asian grocery stores (the A&W brand one)
I also suffer from this affliction, too much time in singapore and other various seedy places.

Sarsparilla is a similar, a substitute for me.

Don't forget that other type of Root Beer.

For all you Americans.... Roots is not a sports brand in Australia, it means you are getting laid.

Over here we get Bundaberg root beer and sarsaparilla and they are made in Australia.......

Yeah subsitute for root beer over here is sarsaparilla. But theres no subsitute for roots and beers, their a universal language!

beer goggles + ANY form,shape or size (if male then you got problems....) woman = a massive hangover & the 'what/who the hell are you' line in the morning

When i lived in melbourne and hung around some of the italian cafe we use to drink chinnoto which comes in small bottles, and is very strong in taste, takes some getting use too. the turkish have also got there own version made from coffee beans alot of the cab drivers i know drink it to stay awake ..

Beer and rooting has been known to cause the hungover/who the f... are you effect.

In some severe cases it can lead to blind love and even worse, marriage. I can attest to this.

When I go to the US, I have the best root beer I can get my hands on with almost every meal

Normally means drinking 'Sars' branded stuff.
