internal reg alternator

well im about to swap to my internal regulated alternator, AND I HAVE read the tech section... from the deatils im wondering is it as simple as the loop on the loom plug or is there another wire from the aternator to the loom to make the dash light work agan... this is on a 1972 1200 coupe.

Alternator light comes from the regulator.
If it's an internal reg, it'll have an "L" terminal. And you should wire up the wire that went to the factory reg with an L terminal. A couple of wires from the external reg are removed. The internal reg alternator is much simpler to wire up. Got a photo of the end of the alternator?
