Has anyone replaced the stock steering wheel on their 1200 yet? Mine is all cracked and nasty looking and i'm thinking of swapping out a new one from other Datsun/Nissan models. What good options should I choose and is it hard replacing it? Does it require for me to re-allign after doing the swap?

the wheels jsut have teeth, so you can get it to where the wheel is more or less centered as standard.

I've heard that there are adaptors out there to use aftermarket wheels, I don't know about other nissans.

I have seen B210 GX steering wheeels on 1200's it's a 3 spoke with a large horn button/pad w/ a "D" in the center ...nice!

I noticed on Ebay they have quite a variety of steering wheels w/ hub kit... are any of these worth the swap and would the hub kit work for our cars???

I have a grant 13" wheel w/ corrisponding hub adapter on my sedan, and on my coupe I will eventually get arount to mounting a momo steering wheel. fyi, if you buy a steering wheel from ebay and it says bride on it, you can use a momo hub adapter (it is a six hole steering wheel. -eddie

it's kind of tempting, but i never see a steering wheel i like enough to bother.

Well just for a straight stock replacement I think it shouldnt be too bad... I dont want the ricer looking one just enough to be able to grab the wheel comfortably and looks close to a stocker as possible.

What size or bolt pattern should I be looking for in a steering wheel replacement? Anyone know a model/year it should be a plug and play?

Ive got a Momo steering wheel on my 1200, but when u pull the steering wheel forward it pops outter the hub about 2 inches lol was like it when i bought it...

These appear to be the same shaft mount, double-check before you buy:

1971-73 B110
1974-78 B210
1977-79 S10, F10, N10

Note that the B310 steering wheel is a different shaft/spline.

Grant also makes an adapter for the 1200, so you can use *most* Grant steering wheels.
